Who we are

We have been an Air Force family for 33 years. Andy retired in March 2017 as a Brigadier General. Shelley volunteers in animal rescue and is very involved with wounded warriors. We have two wonderful girls who are both working in animal rehabilitation and training. They are helping us with this nonprofit; Lexi is the director of social media and has had the opportunity to participate in 4 camps. Nicola is the artistic designer and planning to participate in the camps as soon as her work allows.

In July 2014 we had the honor of hearing a panel of wounded warriors tell their stories at an Air Force conference. When we left the conference, there was no doubt in our minds, or hearts, that we somehow had to help. After a few months of bugging the camp staff, they allowed us to come to our first camp at Andrews AFB. We were hooked! We started attending and helping at the adaptive and rehabilitative sports camps across the US. It has been the most humbling and rewarding endeavor we have ever been involved in. We are now lucky enough to have another family in our lives.... the incredible staff, the beyond brave warriors, their wonderful families and caregivers, and their always loyal service dogs.
